For Colored Girls

Tyler Perry’s for Colored Girls is a movie that makes you think.   It’s full of life’s lessons.  Tylers use of color throughout the movie is brilliant. The movie is highlighted with the colors of red, yellow, blue and green.  The colors are symbolic of the characters emotions. In the final scene of the movie the colors that the characters wore were symbolic of the rainbow after the storm.

The characters enlighten us with their stories.  Tyler Perry’s ability to get to the heart of the matter is amazing.  The movie helps one to see beyond the ugliness that life can unfold.  A desire to survive the ugliness with inner strength reasonates from character to character.   To the judgmental eye men are painted in a negative light.  Broaden the light to see that the women embraced the truth.

I need to see this. But I am hesitant as I am not a big Tyler Perry fan. But it is an important movie. So I need to suck it up and check it out!
